Moving house can be one of the most stressful events in your life. At House & Carriage we understand this and so we offer a bespoke moving solution to suit you.

House & Carriage pack and move service

Our team of trained packers will come to your house, normally the day before the actual move and carefully wrap and pack all your home contents for moving the next day. Each box will be labeled to make your unpacking as easy as possible. On the day of the move the same team will return to load our smartly liveried vans for the journey to your new home. On arrival we will deliver each box and piece of furniture to the correct room. Before we leave you we will make sure that your beds are assembled so that you can have a comfortable night in your new home.

House & Carriage half pack and move service

If you would like to do some of the packaging yourselves we are more than happy to split the packing and for example just pack up the kitchen for you. As long as all the boxes are labeled we will move you in just the same way.

House & Carriage moving service only

A simple 'you pack we move service'. We can provide you with all the packing materials that you need and on the day of your move the H & C team will arrive to load and deliver everything to your new home. As with all our moving services every item will be placed in the right room for you to unpack.

Cleaning

We employ a small team of professional cleaners who will clean the property that you are vacating, so you don't have to.

Clearance

Moving house often unearths some items that you no longer have use for. H & C are more than happy to take unwanted pieces to a re-cycling centre or deliver them to a local charity for you. If you want to make a head start we recommend the website 'freecycle'. You simply post your items on the site and nine times out of ten someone in your local area will happily come and collect them.

Furniture assembly

If you have a phobia of flat pack or need help dismantling or assembling any item of furniture H & C can offer this service as part of your move or as a separate job for which we charge by the hour.

Boxes & bubble

We can pack for you, or provide boxes and bubble.
